Just as the Philippine folklore is rich with stories of elementals, myths and ghosts, so is the Pinoy movies. Here are the some of the scariest Pinoy horror movies you can watch right now. 



 1. Wag Kang Lilingon



The powerful team-up of Kristine Hermosa and Anne Curtis makes this horror drama both scary and  heartfelt. The film is divided into two intertwined stories of sisters who have been haunted by a mysterious past.

2. Segunda Mano



Kris Aquino, the queen of Pinoy horror movies stars with Ding-dong Dantes and Angelica Panganiban in this horror hit. The story follows Mabel (Aquino) an antique store owner who has lost her sister when they were still young and husband and wife Owen (Dantes) and Marielle (Panganiban). Their lives will be connected because of a haunted red bag.

3. Yanggaw 



Considered one of the scariest Pinoy horror movies ever made, the story follows a young girl who develops an unknown infection that causes her to evolve into a horrifying monster.


4. The Road



An intertwined stories of three horrific encounters of different people on a mysterious road. The flm is starred by Rhian Ramos, Barbie Forteza, Marvin Agustin, Carmina Villarue, TJ Trinidad, Louise delos Reyes, Alden Richards and Derrick Monasterio.

5. T2



Maricel Soriano plays the role of Claire who adopted Angeli (Mika dela Cruz) in this Pinoy horror film. The scare starts to happen when she learned that Angeli is being following by a family of engkantos.





6. Tumbok



Cristine Reyes and Carlo Aquino are newlyweds who recentely inheritted a condominium situatted in a place locally referred to as "tumbok" which is considered to bring bad luck. When strange events start to happen to the newlyweds, they tried to discover what the mystery is all about.


7. Feng Shui 2



Following the successful 2004 Pinoy horror movie "Feng Shui" the 2014 installment tells the story of Lester (Coco Martin) as the new owner of the cursed bagua. His path crosses with Joy ( Kris Aquino) who must warn Lester of the curses after all the luck and prosperity the bagua brings.


8. Dementia



Nora Aunor, the Philippine's superstar stars in this 2014 horror drama. She plays the role of Mara who is facing dementia. Her niece Racherl (Jasmine Curtis) tries to help her better deal with the illness. 


9. Corazon



Corazon is played by Erich Gonzales who married Daniel (Derek Ramsey) during the Japanese occupation. They were having a hard time to conceive a child, so they souhgt help in joining traditional fertility rites. But after unexpected circumstances, the bay died and the horror began.


10. The Healing



Another Pinoy horror movie which tells much of our culture is this 2012 film starred by Vilma Santos and Kim Chui. The story revolves around the mysterious sicknesses of the characters and their dependence to alternative healing practice.


11. Maria Leonora Teresa



When three grieving parents sought the help of a psychologist, they were advised to have life-sized dolls to better cope the loss of their daughters. The dolls were named, "Maria", "Leonora" and "Teresa".

12. Spirit of the Glass



After playing the Spirit of the Glass at her family's ancertral home in a remote town, Kelly (Rica Peralejo) with here boyfriend Choppy (Dingdong Dantes) and their group of friends started to experience terrifying and mysterious encounters.


13. Tarot



It tells the story of Cara (Marian Rivera) who uses her grandmother's tarot cards to find her missing boyfriend. Later she found out that the tarot cards may have unleashed a cursed. In order to prevent the onslaught of misfortune, Cara must discover the secret of the tarot cards'lethal powers.



14. Third Eye 






    Carla Abellana plays the role fo Mylene who at childhood already has the ability to see the dead. She was very young when she witnessed the grimly death of her neighbor and parents. To protect her, her grandmother closes her third eye. But they reopened when her grandmother dies. 

    15. Shake Rattle and Roll
